How to Cross Your Red Sea
My faith comes from personal experience. I challenge myself to discover more about the Bible, the science of personal development, metaphysics, and trust because God made the world, science is not separate from God, but part of God’s universal design. Miracles like the Red Sea Crossing or the flood in Noah’s time can be explained through science. They’re within the universal reign and control of the Creator.
We are all part of the whole that makes up universal creation. I believe that someday, miracles of the mind will be considered simple mathematical equations combining knowledge and heart (emotion) to be achieved by investing the appropriate measure of each.
I sincerely believe combining the knowledge and confidence in God’s unlimited Power with my heartfelt devotion and love for Michelle, I was able to achieve a positive resolution to Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I honestly didn’t have to know how it would work, just that when I had confidence in my belief, and a sincere, deep, unselfish, dedicated love for my outcome, I would achieve it.
In my history, I had my experience using the Cross the Red Sea formula.
- “Fear Not!” Peace be Still! (And know that God’s good is at work in this experience.)
- “Stand Firm.” Don’t do anything. Can’t face a problem on the level of the problem. See the salvation of the Lord – what God will do. (Always about the change in us, not in others) Raise your level of Consciousness. Get into the proper mental attitude to have them fulfilled (God will do through you what you desire once (unless and until) you get into the proper mental state to accept it!)
- The Lord will fight for you, you have only to…….
- “Be still and know that I AM God”
- Define your purpose – it is to know God, not get what you want.
- “Go Forward”
- Under the direction of Spirit. Allow for guidance from within.
- Let God be God, Trust! Trust a little!
- “Don’t Predict your Solution” (Your job is to design it, not create it)
The most important element is to remain calm and not be fearful.
Our doubt and worry frustrate our ability to receive the good the Creator intends for us. It’s easier said than done. When you are in the throes of agony, pain, frustration, a health concern, or worse yet, emotional turmoil, our fear runs rampant.
It's our mind's job to think of the worst-case scenario. Anything less means we'll have a better chance of surviving.
That's the job of our Autonomic Nervous System, the fight, flight, or freeze that served our ancestors so well. What was once highly adaptive has now become maladaptive.
We use ANS so frequently today we live in a constant state of stress. Neuroscience suggests up to 70% of the time!
It turns out that 85 percent of our worries and concerns never happen. The 15 percent that do, 79 percent of subjects discover they could handle the difficulty better than expected, or the difficulty taught them a lesson worth learning. (Huffington Post, Aug 25, 2015)
Each challenge we face teaches us a valuable lesson. My fear, loss, and anxiety with losing Michelle in 1992 provided me with a story to help me through my cancer.
The story of Joseph in the bible is a good example of this. His brothers were jealous of him since he was their father’s (Jacob) favorite. They sold him into slavery to Egyptian traders. The 11 brothers lived with their guilt, and eventually, when famine reached them, they were forced to get help from Pharaoh. That’s when they met Joseph again, ‘But Joseph replied, “‘But Joseph replied, “Do not be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20 As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish a day like this— to preserve the lives of many people. 21 Therefore, do not be afraid. I will provide for you and your little ones.”’ Genesis 50:19-20
Emmett Fox recommends:
"Pray, and believe your prayer is going to work. Act the part. Leave it.
But when you understand that God is not limited by conditions, that it does not matter how sick you are today, what mistakes you have made, how foolish you have been, or how strong the forces against you seem to be—God is stronger than conditions—that is the knowledge side.
However, we know that it is never too late because God is outside of time. So we have the knowledge side.
What most of us lack is the feeling half.
Our feelings are given over to the side of fear. The more feeling you have, the stronger your emotional nature, the better if you throw it on the positive side, but the worse if you throw it on the negative side. It is like a high-powered car that can easily do a hundred miles an hour. That is fine if you are on the right kind of special roadway, like the Pennsylvania Turnpike. However, if you are a bad driver and get into the car lightheartedly and step on the gas, that car is going to wreck you. Emotional feeling is like that. Throw it on the good side, on the side of Divine Love, believe in God, believe in yourself, believe in the future, believe in harmony, and it will drive you right out of any trouble.
However, too often, human nature throws it on the other side, the side of ifs and doubts and buts and fears, and, of course, it suffers."
Joseph, despite being falsely accused of making sexual advances on his master’s wife, enduring years in prison, and failing to be recognized for helping one of his cellmates, refused to be fearful. When he confronted his brothers, while he deceived them, he refused to be bitter and eventually loved and accepted them despite their betrayal.
Some scholars believe Joseph’s arrogance and haughtiness may have led to his brother’s betrayal. Our thoughts lead us to the punishment we earn. Joseph may have needed to learn a lesson to achieve his destiny.
The same can be said for us.
A friend of mine grew up in a very totalitarian family. His mother and father expected obedience, and the children were expected to be in servitude to their mother and father. He felt unloved, especially from his father.
For years, he had a cyst on his back. He realized this growth was the result of not feeling loved by his father.
Finally, in 2020, after years of counseling, feelings of scorn and unappreciation, a heart attack, leaving his family’s business in India, and moving to the United States to get away from his family’s influence, he realized he didn’t need his father’s love. Through meditation, he recognized a love far greater of the Father of the Universe.
Shortly after this, the cyst disappeared!
Perhaps there is a realization or an understanding to illuminate your soul to see the miracle of love you are surrounded by.
Like Joseph, you will say to your misfortune, "You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good."
Somewhere on my journey through cancer, I recognized how similar the Crossing the Red Sea formula and Dr. Joe Dispensa’s Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself meditation formula mirrored the intention of answered prayer. This multiplied my confidence. Dr. Joe shares, “When we combine an elevated emotion with an open heart and a conscious intention with clear thought, we signal the field to respond in amazing ways.”
In chapter VII, you discover just how amazing my response came!
