Our Thoughts Can Make Us Sick. Our Thoughts Can Make Us Well.
That’s how I closed my book and blog last week—and I believe it now more than ever.Since my cancer diagnosis in 2012, life has delivered both challenges and peace, obstacles and blessings, hardships and rewards. Maybe I’m a slow learner, but I’ve spent the years since trying to give back. I wrote a book. I shared my story. I explored how the same tools that helped me—faith, meditation, and prayer—could help others face cancer or personal crises.
I’ve had the honor of helping several people on this path. Still, I’ve always felt there was more I could do—more people I could reach, more impact I could make, especially in return for the faith others have placed in me.
Then last year, a former customer and friend, Scott Ford, reached out. He’d just attended a Dr. Joe Dispenza retreat and had dinner with him. “Did you know they have a coaching program?” he asked.
I did. I looked into it back in 2015 when it first launched, but it didn’t align with my coaching work at the time. Scott’s call nudged me to revisit the program—NeuroChangeSolutions—and this time, it resonated. Deeply.
To truly understand the potential of the program, I reached out to certified trainer John Longhill. He encouraged me to experience it firsthand by taking the course myself: Change Your Mind. Create New Results—a transformative program based on Dr. Joe Dispenza’s powerful book, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself.
Change Your Mind. Create New Results
I began the 14-hour training in June 2024, during a difficult season in my life. After just one four-hour session, I felt more self-aware. The changes I made then have stuck—and expanded. This wasn’t just training. It was transformational.
Here’s one insight that hit me hard:
We think 60,000–70,000 thoughts a day. Ninety percent of those are the same as the day before. If you’re over 35, that jumps to 95%.
No wonder change is so hard—we’re unconsciously repeating the past every single day.
The first step to change is to become aware of the thoughts, feelings, and habits driving us—unconsciously.
The training echoed lessons from my cancer journey, but with new tools and questions:
- Why is it so difficult for us to change?
- Why do we struggle to sustain change?
- How can individuals and organizations create meaningful, lasting transformation?
The truth is, changing your business begins by changing yourself.
Leaders must first understand how change works—then guide their teams through it.
“Change Your Mind. Create New Results” is built around powerful neuroscience-backed exercises that help you recognize what change looks like—and why it often fails. It doesn’t just teach change; it lets you experience it. You build awareness, adopt new perspectives, and start rewiring your brain to create new results.
What is neuroscience? Simply put, it’s the study of the brain and nervous system—how we think, feel, and act. And it’s at the heart of how we change.
As Dr. Joe Dispenza says:
“We can change in times of pain and suffering, or in times of joy and inspiration. Which would you choose?”
I want to help individuals and organizations choose joy and inspiration—though I know many only change when they must. Either way, change is the gateway to growth.
Now certified in Change Your Mind. Create New Results, I’m ready to bring this transformational work to people and businesses ready for lasting, meaningful change.
Let’s create new results—together.

When you begin to grow in self-awareness, something powerful happens: you start asking better questions. You begin to look inward—examining who you are, why you do what you do, and what truly drives your choices.
In my next blog, I’ll dive into this quote and explore a life-changing truth:
To create meaningful change and achieve what you truly want, you must first become aware of the unconscious thoughts, actions, and emotions shaping your daily life.
